Vidya Games | Brand, interface & game design

the brief

I worked with Vidya as Digital Lead to shape the identity and experience of a blockchain gaming ecosystem. My role spanned brand positioning and guidelines, website design, and the art direction of its flagship game, AimBots.

The challenge was to give the business a clear, consistent identity across its games, tools and online presence. I brought brand, interface and game design together, alongside guidance on reaching a wider audience.

Deliverables:

  • Brand positioning and creative direction
  • Identity and brand guidelines
  • Website and interface design
  • Desktop and Fabricator interaction concepts
  • AimBots art direction and illustration commissioning
  • Guidance on content, social strategy and partnerships

desktop vibes

I designed Vidya.OS as a retro desktop that brings Vidya’s games and apps into one place. The desktop metaphor gave users a familiar way to explore the ecosystem and launch its tools, while themes and custom backgrounds let them make the space their own.

fabricator

I designed an NFT collectible game to demonstrate the Fabricator, a crafting tool shared across the Vidya ecosystem. Inspired by Little Alchemy, the game starts with four basic elements: fire, earth, wind and water.

Players drag items from a connected wallet into the interface and combine them to discover new elements. Recipes stay hidden until discovered, encouraging experimentation across 120 collectible elements with varying levels of rarity.

AimBots

I worked across the art and design of AimBots, Vidya’s flagship multiplayer first-person shooter. My role spanned world-building and lore, level design, game UX and UI, key art and website materials, shaping how players encountered the game both in and outside play.

Set in a future without humans, AimBots follows rival factions of intergalactic bots competing for a precious mineral called Vidya. Players wager their Vidya in fast-paced online battles.

expanding the AimBots world

I found and briefed several illustrators to expand the lore of the AimBots world. Through rounds of feedback, I guided the commissioned artwork from initial concepts to finished illustrations, building on the game’s visual direction and giving its wider universe more depth.
