from Coastal to Seekers Guides
Coastal Seekers began with my love of the ocean and a concern about plastic pollution. I wanted to build a platform that could encourage more awareness and reduce personal plastic use. That ambition remained as the community grew beyond sailing and coastal travel creators, with Seekers Guides evolving to reflect a wider range of journeys and audiences.

Guides for everyone
Guides were organised around five types of travel experience, helping people find inspiration that matched their interests. These categories remained as Coastal evolved into Seekers Guides, with Cruiser staying prominent as a nod to the platform’s sailing roots.

turning content into income
By giving travel creators another way to earn from their content, we gave them a reason to share their guides beneath their videos. Their audiences could follow those links to the platform, helping build a community around the creators we called seekers. We took an 8% fee on guide sales, leaving creators with the majority of the income.
telling coastal businesses’ stories
Along our coastal journey, we selected businesses offering standout experiences. We worked with them to identify their audience, then produced commissioned videos centred on a real person experiencing what they offered. Together, the four videos attracted 51k views.
